Mission Statement

 

Maple Hills PTA will partner with our school, district, and community to provide educational and community-building opportunities for students and their families in order to advocate and support every student in reaching their full potential.

Goals: 

  1. Encourage student and family participation and volunteerism in school and district PTA programs.
  2. Promote and facilitate inclusive and equitable activities that build community within our school and strengthen the connection between Maple Hills Elementary families and staff.
  3. Engage in purposeful fundraising to support the programs and events that align with the mission of our PTA.
  4. Be a voice for every student by advocating at the local, district, region, and state level on behalf of the Maple Hills Elementary community.

 

Maple Hills PTA Membership

The Maple Hills PTA is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that partners with our school to enrich our children’s educational experience through programs, events, and advocacy.

Becoming a member supports your student’s education and gives you a voice and a vote in all PTA decisions.

What Does PTA Membership Get You?

  • Voting rights on important PTA matters like approving the budget, major initiatives, and electing board members.
  • The opportunity to volunteer at PTA-sponsored events and programs
  • Access to exclusive PTA-sponsored activities and perks
  • A direct way to support your child’s learning environment

 Note: You must be a current PTA member to volunteer at PTA events.

Memberships must be renewed annually, and your dues directly fund events, programs, enrichment opportunities, and teacher/classroom support. Along with support for the National, State and local Council PTA’s.

Where Your Membership Fee Goes

Each membership fee is distributed among different levels of the PTA, with the remaining funds directly supporting Maple Hills Elementary:

Family Membership ($30) Breakdown:

  • National PTA: $6.50

  • Washington State PTA: $11.50

  • Local PTA Council: $8.00

  • Maple Hills PTA: $4.00

 

Single Membership ($20) Breakdown:

  • National PTA: $3.25
  • Washington State PTA: $5.75
  • Local PTA Council: $4.00
  • Maple Hills PTA: $7.00

 

Staff, and Community memberships follow a similar breakdown, with the balance going to Maple Hills PTA to fund local programs, events, and classroom support.

Since 2001, our PTA has proudly reached 100% membership, but we know that true support isn’t measured only by numbers. That’s why our updated goal is:

To have every family at Maple Hills Elementary become a PTA member.
